2007/2008 - End of Season Report
Snowdays has completed yet another successful season. This past winter we facilitated eight day-trips to Mt. Hood serving over one hundred youths. Our relationship with Timberline Lodge remains as strong as ever as we continue to use their slopes for all of our day trips.
This season we continued to develop our relationship with Self-Enhancement Inc (SEI), Hacienda CDC, "I Have a Dream" Foundation of Oregon, and Trillium Charter School whose youth we served for the last four years. Chairman of the board, Mr. Fransway said, "It has been an amazing experience to see both Snowdays and the youth it serve flourish with success." Because Snowdays have had the opportunity to work with organizations like SEI for repeated years we have helped mentor students who had entered as junior high students who now are in high hchool.
The Snowdays volunteer base has been growing as well. We have been fortunate to retain over 35 volunteers over the last four years, with 11 volunteers coming back for a third season and over 15 returning for a fourth year! We are very delighted to know that so many volunteers are continuing on to make Snowdays possible. Thanks to all the volunteers!
In addition to our talented volunteer base, we would like to thank our many sponsors. Our sponsors provide us with a variety of donations to help us achieve our goals each year. Thanks go out to: Windell's Camp, Timberline Lodge, Holden, Dakine, Bonfire, Nikita, Airblaster, EXIT: Real World, Gromfest, WWE Foundation, G.I. Joe’s Foundation, K-2 and Roxy.
