3/22/07 - Board Games III, SnowdaysHQ & mid-season update

Snowdays has a new home (aka Snowdays HQ)! We have moved into a room in the ActivSpace building on NW Raleigh. The space will serve as a staging area for our daytrips and a single place to house all things Snowdays.

Dakine came up big for Snowdays and donated a huge box of new gloves. Thanks to Randy and the rest of the Dakine crew!!!

Snowdays Portland has completed four daytrips so far with another five scheduled. Snowdays Alaska is gearing up next week with a couple daytrips after the "Wasilla Middle School ShredFest".

2/3/07 - Alaska Gear piles up - thanks Holden!

Last winter we received many generous outerwear donations, and Snowdays Portland now has more than 40 sets of gear to equip our students on the hill.

The new Alaska program will need a similar amount of gear, and so we are returning to companies who have donated to Snowdays before and asking them to help us again. We're grateful that snowboarding companies are stoked on what we do and are generous with their help.

Here's a perfect example: Holden came through huge for us this week, donating 15 jackets and 10 pairs of pants. That's one of the biggest single donations we have had, and is a great start for Snowdays Alaska. Thanks so much!

1/27/07 - First Snowdays trip of the season

Two weeks ago, bad weather and school closures in Portland caused the first Snowdays trip of the season to be cancelled. Today though, all that was forgotten as Trillium Charter School took to the snow.

Thanks to the volunteers new and old who came out to pack lunches, drive vans, teach lessons, and to have fun with kids in the snow.

12/18/06 - Wasilla Middle School Shredfest 2006

One-footed backflips? Sketchy tandem airs over fences? Snowboard demos don't get any better than this.

Shredfest 2006 has some incredible snowboarding. Enjoy the video.

Shredfest 2007 will take place in Wasilla, Alaska in late March. We'll keep you posted.

12/12/06 - New T-shirt colorways are blowing minds

It's no secret that Snowdays Labs has advanced T-shirt technology. We select only the best-fitting soft, ring-spun cotton T's, emblazon them with our unforgettable snowflake logo and deliver them in a variety of colorways, from chic to eye-melting.

We have a new shipment of men's shirts that are perfect for the male in your life. Click on over to the merchandise page and pick up some last minute gifts.

Order via email by noon on Tuesday Dec 22 and we'll mail the shirts in time for Christmas.

12/4/06 - Snowdays Alaska!

Jason Moore is a middle school teacher in Wasilla, Alaska. He runs a reading program at the school, and rewards his students by staging a professional snowboard demo every year. Jason and his crew set up jumps, rails and a wallride at the school and then he sets the riders loose to entertain the kids.

Snowdays founder Travis Parker has provided some of the talent at the "Wasilla Middle School Shredfest" for the last two years, and we have the video to prove it!

Several months ago, Jason approached Snowdays to ask how he could start a similar program, taking deserving students to his local resort of Alyeska.

We've decided to help Jason establish a Snowdays Alaska program, and to run two day trips this winter. We're super excited to bring Snowdays to a new area and to use the knowledge we have gained in Portland to make this new venture just as successful.

12/4/06 - New Goals

Our goals for the season are finalized. We're going to reach more young people this year, and do it with less money. We're also taking Snowdays to a whole new location.... Alaska.

11/28/06 - Forget Google, Snowdays is on Goodsearch

Snowdays is now a part of Goodsearch... wow! Wait, what does that mean?

GoodSearch is a search engine powered by Yahoo. Each time someone searches on it, a penny is given to a charity organization. You can choose which charity to donate to, or simply help their charity of the day.

So from now on when you need to use a search engine go to goodsearch.com, type in what you're looking for, and then enter Snowdays Foundation in the box below that.

Thanks for your support. Tell your friends too!
